Biography
Actor and Director Raina Desai brings a wealth of experience and a dynamic artistic vision. Making her mark in Canada with her debut in SAWITRI Theatre’s play “Case No. 99” in 2015, Raina has seamlessly blended the nuances of the Michael Chekov technique into her performances across various theatre plays, award-winning short films, and feature-length productions. An alumina of the University of Toronto, Raina is a versatile theatre director, with the repertoire of successful productions – “Grey Area,” “Sara Zinda Hai,” and “The Date”. Fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati, Raina’s skills include dancing, choreography, hosting and scriptwriting.
